Because if you start volunteering, you will become more and more familiar how the process works and even learn of rescue orginizations you could also work with to learn… A rescue org. is something that develops off of something else, like experience and knowing people… that comes from previouse volunteer experience.
I adopted my doggie … I adopted my doggie, buster and we LOVE him… He’s crazy and mischevious, that movie “Marley and me” should have called me first! I could have added some good ideas! if you are considering a pet PLEASE CONSIDER ADOPTION FIRST!
you might try … you might try volunteering at a local shelter, or fostering dogs that are in need of permanent homes before you make the leap into a rescue organization. Hell, dropping off a couple bags of dog food and other such supplies at a shelter is a good step towards helping shelter dogs.
