Will people adopt a dog or cat just because they’re free? I mean, it’s a good idea, but many people don’t understand that owning a pet is a very long commitment. Hopefully, the animals will not end up family-less like they originally were.

State animal welfare departments are enacting intrusive and strict petcare rules, with huge fines, and no legal way to defend yourself as owners. Breeders are going out of business because they don’t have/can’t afford to build commercial buildings for their pet raising. What is rightfully an inhome labor of love is being made a costly corporate venture by anal state employees who seek to protect their state jobs by making work and looking busy, while they drive hobbists out of business.

So sad to learn …
So sad to learn that people can’t take care of their pets and have to give them up for adoption. I had a cat that passed away recently five months ago. While we no longer have to pay for food and care, it doesn’t make me feel better. My mother never wanted the cat because of the hair problem. I could care less. I loved the cat. It was my sister who brought it in. I’m glad she did, in spite of the wound in my heart.
