Are there any Animal shelters volunteering in Houston?
Do you know of any animal shelters looking 4 volunteers (age 12 and up) in the Harris county in Houston? I’m SOOOO bored and I’d really like to help animals. If you know any thing help me puh-lease.
(ps. If you have information on ANY volunteering 4 12 year ols and up, please tell me)
=D
Looks like you are going to be too young but it was a very nice thought and gesture, at least sign up with them, for later.
The Houston SPCA has more than 500 dedicated volunteers helping us help the animals. Without these compassionate, caring people, we couldn’t continue our efforts on behalf of the animals. The following volunteer positions assist with the daily operation of the Houston SPCA, and are available to qualified applicants.
We are always looking for volunteers to help further this mission, however we ask that all volunteers be at least 15 years of age ( please see the following NOTE ). If you are between the ages of 15 and 18 years old please click here and request a volunteer application to be sent to you through the mail. Please provide your full name, address, city, state & zip code. NOTE : If you are ages 15 to 18, the application which you will need to complete and return to us can only be provided through post mail at this time. Upon review of your application, you will be invited to the next series of orientation and training classes, held on Saturdays.

I work at a shelter here in Indiana and you must be 15 yrs old to volunteer at the shelter. But here is a great idea that you and your friends could do to still help the animals. Right now at the shelter we have a terminal ill dog who needs real expensive medical treatment and since we are a no kill shelter we are trying everything possible to save this dogs life but the funds are low. So our local girl scout troop decided to have a car wash to raise money for our sick dog. I am sure if you stopped into the shelter that there is a animal in need like ours that would benefit. There are so many things the shelter needs that I am sure if you stop in that they can give you some ideas.
