4 MILLION dogs are euthanized each year. The dogs in this video died from what I think a VERY inhumane method of euthanizing anything…the gas chamber.
Remember that someone outside those gas chamber walls were responsible for these dogs and puppies lives.
Adopt a dog form your shelter. Spay and neuter. Be a responsible owner. Love your doggy. Keep tags on your dog.
***I DO NOT OWN THE MUSIC OR PICTURES****

i went into a store today and saw a cute little, white puppy (i don’t know what breed), with short, curly fur. (not a poodle).
would it be better to buy or adopt? i realize when you adopt, you probably pay too. are they healthy? how was your experience?
well when you adopt, it’s cheaper, and you save the dog from being in the pound.
i got 3 of my dogs from the pound, and 2 of then from the store.
when i look for a dog, i look everywhere. because the perfect dog for you might just be in a pet store.
so i think it’s better to adopt, but when you find love, you find love.
not all dogs at the pound are healthy. sometimes they’re dying and they need help. so it just depends on the dog.
you never know with adopted dogs though. one of my dogs almost never eats anything, and when he does it’s just meat. i got him at the pound.
the second one still bites roughly when he plays. i got him at the pound.
the third one is very independent. he doesn’t play with toys, and he doesn’t like kids, and doesn’t liked to be picked up. i got him at the pound.
the fourth one is very stupid. she runs into walls and pees everywhere. i got her at the pet store.
the fifth one is probably one of my smartest dogs, (knows alot of tricks), is such a sweetie, but can be naive. i got her at the pet store.
so personally? i think if you find the right dog, it doesn’t matter. but i would try and look at the pounds so you could save one.

she is thirteen
very shy/eager
100% LOVES animals
but 2 questions
1- will they let her volunteer there?
2- can you volunteer at places?
You will have to contact the shelter in her area to see if there is an age limit. She may have to volunteer with an adult, get a release signed by a parent, or be assigned specific tasks. Often shelters need volunteers to make sure the animals get enough attention. Caution her that some of the dogs really pull hard on a leash and she may prefer to feed/play with cats.

I want to get a american pit bull terrier but can’t afford 1200 to get one from a breeder
Well, just remember, you might do well at the shelter, but a breeder guarentees their dogs and you don’t get the nasty surprises you might otherwise get…
This said, there’s the Lehigh County Animal Shelter down on Vera Cruz road. I’m sure they’ll have some bullies there. Many years ago I got my wonderful german shepherd there. She’s been gone for years now (old age) but I’ll never forget her.

Rimona is a cuddly girl who is very affectionate. She was signed over to the shelter with her friend Ilias. She would make a fantastic pet for someone with an active lifestyle. Rimona would need to be rehomed to someone able to take time to train her properly.
Rimona has been neutered, microchipped and her vaccinations are up to date. She has also been wormed and flea treated and comes with 4 weeks free insurance.
For more information or to arrange to visit Rimona please call 0871 2230404 or email rehoming@gawa.org.uk.

I would like to compare them with the rules/regulations in place at the local shelter here. I think something is not quite legitimate about it. I know four people who have applied for different dogs recently; all were turned down for various reasons. None have any history of animal abuse/neglect, all are (as far as I know) responsible, loving pet owners. All had references, a vet., etc. I would like to compare other known rules/regulations regarding adoption with other Animal Shelters. This shelter just reopened recently. It was closed for awhile for unknown reasons. One friend was told the puppy she applied for had been transfered to another shelter, then they told her the puppy was adopted. By this time we became suspicious, so we checked on the web, only to find out that the puppy was now at another "no-kill" shelter which rescues dogs before they are euthanized. This has raised a lot of questions.
That is more than a little odd. Maybe they have a parvo problem that they don’t want to admit and are turning all prospective adopters until they get it cleaned up. That could take six months. I don’t think I’d go there again looking for a dog.
Some shelters have no requirements at all, except that you pay the fee. Others want to do a credit check (which I think is an invasion of privacy) and want to inspect the home to be sure the yard is safe and fenced (good idea). Most want to know if your last few dogs died unexpectedly or ran away, and if you have a good history with your vet for getting your dogs proper care.
