    at least someone is …
    at least someone is helping animals-it’s more than what a lot do-don’t expect perfection-all good is good

  2. nicepuppy123 Says:

    i eat meat but i …
    i eat meat but i still love animals i have a dog and im adopting seeing animals being slaughted is sick but i barely eat meat

  3. ferretnation88 Says:

    agree 100% please …
    agree 100% please help your local shelters directly. At least then you KNOW where your money is going!

  4. punkpinkpony Says:

    Every time I see …
    Every time I see their commercial with that banshee wailing while they show staged pictures of ‘abused animals’, most of which the HSUS would euthanize before spending a dime to help them…I mute the tv or change the channel.

    If you want to help animals.. take bags of food to the nearest shelter instead so you know where the money is going.

    @gilliangirl1 oh …
    @gilliangirl1 oh my god! they are NOT bailing out a single animal shelter. hell, my local one even COMPLAINED that the hsus were stealing from them!

  6. GueiGirl Says:

    If I was given the …
    If I was given the choice to go vegan or starve myself if our consumer freedoms are taken away, I’d choose starving myself.

    I think animal cruelty is wrong like most normal folk, but banning animal usage all together? That’s going too far. And I think it’s sick that pigs and chickens are compared to Jewish holocaust victims.

  7. runmalloy Says:

    How do you know …
    How do you know this to be true? Of course this would be a terrible thing.

  8. Fleefles Says:

    Also, they do not …
    Also, they do not bail out animal shelters at all. They only give them money to care for the animals they dump on them, if they don’t outright kill them, yet the HSUS takes the glory for “rescuing” the animals.

  9. gilliangirl1 Says:

    It’s not okay to …
    It’s not okay to murder billions of cows. I don’t eat meat nor wear leather. I haven’t eaten meat in 30 years this March. And yes, we shouldn’t be killing animals indiscriminately AT ALL. Watch some of the videos that animal rights people have online. They clearly ARE risking their lives.

  10. Fleefles Says:

    HSUS might do SOME …
    HSUS might do SOME good, but that in no way excuses them for the BAD they have done and CONTINUE to do. They will outright lie and stretch the truth to get certain animals banned from being kept as pets and prey on the public’s ignorance.

    You hear about them so much simply because they have tons of money – other Non-Animal Rights groups do plenty of good too, and you would hear about them more I’m sure if they received 200 million or so a year.

  11. Fleefles Says:

    They don’t have to …
    They don’t have to “risk their lives” for the seal hunt. There is nothing wrong with it. How would you like it if a bunch of Indians were trying to make it taboo to eat cow meat and wear leather and villainized you? Do I think animals should be killed humanely? Yes. But the HSUS doesn’t want seals killed at all. Why is it okay to murder billions of cows for food and leather, but not seals for their fur and meat?

  12. Fleefles Says:

    Yeah, cause killing …
    Yeah, cause killing 150+ pitbulls, even NEWBORN pups, without ANY temperament testing or evidence of having been fought is a positive difference for the animals.

  13. gilliangirl1 Says:

    HSUS cannot …
    HSUS cannot possibly keep bailing out animal shelters again andagain. HSUS works from a macro perspective, not micro perspective. They work proactively to educate people around the world. They were up in Canada risking their lives to deal with the seal hunt. I’m sure they do take in millions of dollars, but don’t you think they deserve to get paid for doing a job like anyone else? View the countless videos online of HSUS workers doing jobs that the average person would not want to do.

  14. nerys132 Says:

    Just so you know …
    Just so you know this is a QUOTE
    Wayne Pacelle, President of HSUS: “One generation and out. We have no problem with the extinction of domestic animals. They are creations of human selective breeding.”

  15. schues1 Says:

    @ …
    @DeepydeepyDeepydeepy How do you “know” they’re saving animals? I hate to tell you, but this newscast IS true. The HSUS has done a very good job projecting a certain image. Their commercials are heartbreaking. Unfortunately, most of their time is spent lobbying for changes in agriculture that will drastically increase the cost of food and put many farmers out of business, without significantly improving animals’ lives.

  16. DeepydeepyDeepydeepy Says:

    I dont believe you, …
    I dont believe you, I know the hsus IS SAVING ANIMALS this cant be true! I hope not! ~Deepinder~

  17. Tigerpuffer Says:

    PETA are freaks. …
    PETA are freaks. They kill more animals than they save. It’s a proven fact. I don’t believe a word PETA says.

  18. windsweptDemyx Says:

    Props for this …
    Props for this staying on youtube, no props to the desc with it. Two veg people over here and we’re just as disgusted with HSUS as the rest of you. Thanks a bunch for on vegans yet again when any discussion of like PETA comes up.

  19. runmalloy Says:

    Don’t blame the …
    Don’t blame the HSUS for your own ignorance (I am not referring to anyone individually.) They are a “big picture” organization that gets things done. Lobbying is very important and has/will help shelters and animals. There lobbying/PR efforts have made a huge a huge positive difference for animals here in CA.This newscast was bad reporting at best. I love the HSUS!

  20. tttoooaaaddd Says:

    the truth is awesome, HSUS is a huge scam.

  21. psycotria Says:

    @WinterHaven Your …
    @WinterHaven Your the one that’s ‘brainwashed’. PETA’s HQ in Norfolk, VA has taken in over 22,000, mostly perfectly healthy cats and dogs from mid ’98 till 12/08 and KILLED over 90%. They store their lifeless bodies in a walkin freezer. They also pick up from other shelters, then kill them as they drive down the street. They then dump them into dumpsters behind stripmalls. Put this into your Webbong: isogad/5J7dd . Make the o aperiod, remove the a, and don’t front 3 letters w. You’ll see a PDF.

  22. Fleefles Says:

    @WinterHaven

    @WinterHaven

    Uhhh.. no. they will see if you fight dogs you get put in prison, just like VIck did. Vick isn’t making money off of fighting dogs, he’s making it from playing football.

  23. Fleefles Says:

    @WinterHaven

    @WinterHaven

    You’re telling me that 95% of the thousands of animals that come to PETA’s shelters are severly abused and beyong medical help? BS. Not even the worst kill shelters have that high of a kill rate. In the Hinkle and Cook case, they were euthanizing perfeclty healthy adoptable pets and tossing them in dumpsters, and PETA paid to defend these two employees.

    PETA has no qualms over killing adoptable pets.

  24. Fleefles Says:

    @chibichibi7554

    @chibichibi7554

    Look up what they did with Fay the pitbull and Mike Vick’s dogs. They try to raise money under the guise they are helping these animals, when zero of the money went to them. They were not even in charge of their care. Google Nathan Winograd’s blog.

    They know people would not give them money if they knew they were against the existence of pets, that’s why they gave their organization a deceptive name.

  25. geckomaster25x Says:

    Protecting and …
    Protecting and saving animals is a very important job. But these people aren’t what they appear to be. They are using donations that are supposed to be used to rescue and help animals and prevent abuse for their own political purposes. They give their money to politicians and bribe them into pushing laws and bills in the direction they want. They are trying to take away peoples right to own pets in the first place. They are a political scam organization.
