Ramona is a dog that is currently up for adoption at Pet Project Rescue. Pet Project Rescue is a no-kill, non-profit, volunteer-based animal rescue which places homeless animals in foster care homes until they are adopted by their forever families. Because we are a volunteer-based rescue, 100% of adoption fees and donations go back into the program to help save more cats and dogs that are in need of rescuing! As a rescue organization it is important to us that we help contribute to reducing pet over-population, which is a national and international epidemic. To assure that we are doing so, all of our animals are spayed/neutered before being adopted.

Every year in Maricopa County, AZ 50,000 + dogs and cats are put to death. Newspaper, Craigs List, Mall and corner puppy mills are a huge part of this problem. PLEASE SEND THIS VIDEO TO YOUR FRIENDS. Please adopt your next best friend from a shelter and SAVE A LIFE.
This video is to help everyone in Maricopa County, Arizona understand just how dire the situation is here. This is NOT a slam on Animal Control and their choices in regards to which animals they select for death, it is to help you understand what animals are dying and why. You may feel outraged about the reasons the animals are being destroyed feeling that the decisions are unjust. The question you need to ask yourself is, “what are you doing to help make it different?” Supporting local animal welfare agencies that help animals from within your own community, ensuring your animals don’t breed and committing to your pets for their entire life are the only ways we can change the dynamics of animal welfare. The tone is rather serious and isn’t meant to be harsh, but honestly it is hard not to feel like screaming the message from the mountain tops. Maybe then someone will hear their cries and realize that the choices everyone makes in their daily lives in regard to pet acquisition and retention has a ripple effect all the way to the homeless animal shelter. Thank you for watching and passing it on
